Manufacturing Company Becomes Profitable Within Months of a New Facility Opening

Our client is a leading-edge contract development and manufacturing organization specializing in the production of pharmaceutical products utilized in gene therapy and vaccine manufacturing. Their state-of-the-art facilities use a patented manufacturing process to produce products that exceed the highest quality and regulatory standards in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Challenge

They identified an opportunity in the market to expand their production capabilities and produce 5-6 times the amount of output that had been previously done. For the previous 20+ years, they had operated out of the same manufacturing facility. They were now completing a new building, which required them to hire at an exponential rate to meet their production and financial goals.

Solution

Element Staffing was tasked with assisting numerous departments within the company to source, screen, and place candidates from entry-level status up to managerial roles. After touring the new facility and extensive discussions with their HR, recruiting, and technical teams, we tailored our process to meet their every need, including shifting our internal priorities to ensure we had dedicated resources to this hiring initiative. We organized all candidate submissions, statuses, interviews, offers, pre-employment requirements, and start details to provide timely and efficient updates. We scheduled weekly meetings with hiring managers and their teams to maintain open communication on current openings, desired skill sets, and interview feedback. We also expanded our service offerings to satisfy the type and budget for each particular role. This included recruiting and placing candidates within contract, contract to hire, direct placement, and payrolled positions. Lastly, we performed weekly quality control calls with candidates and hiring managers to ensure that training was going well, questions and concerns were addressed, and open communication was encouraged.

Result

Element Staffing successfully placed 75+ people within a very short period of time, resulting in our client meeting their production schedules and becoming profitable within months of the new facility opening. Our hands-on, personal approach to building relationships with the hiring managers significantly impacted our ability to understand the company culture and find talent with the right technical skills and ambitious personality needed for this new venture.
